Coffee Terrace @ Genting

Maintaining a blog is hard!
To get post of nice food and places, we as blogger got to dig the wallet and it can be quite deep. Surely its a deep one today.

How to read the chinese name ah?

Went to Coffee Terrace on the 13th February. Its a great, great, great place to have buffet. After paying for RM42++ for the entry, I told myself, I gonna eat to death in this place.
Coffee Terrace has a great variety of food, mainly Malaysia Food but certainly not forgetting the all-time-favourite, sushi corner.

The nyonya food.

The salad bar.

There is something special about the Chinese Corner. You may choose from a few choices of vege and ask the cook to cook it for you.

If you don't like vege, you can go for the China Ramen.

Toss and twist.

Cook, cook.

Yummy ramen.

The dessert conner.

The environment in the place is quite good. I would say it is much better than many buffet places. Those cheap-skate buffet places resemble a war zone where people fight for their food. Well, this is a comfort zone.

Fuhh..long post. Tired and hungry now. All I can afford now is Nasi Lemak at the junction between Vista B and Vista C.

Movie Review: Blood Diamond

After so much recommendation, finally, I manage to watch this show. 6pm show in GSC Mid Valley. This means I will have to pay for normal price for this movie. It cost me bloody RM10 for this show instead of RM6 for student price.

Let me tell you, it's so worth it. Even if it cost you RM 1,ooo, it is still worth it. I will tell you why in a minute.

Blood diamond is about the civil war and chaos in 1990's Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone has lots of diamond mine but there are not much of diamond export from this place. There is an American diamond smuggler and the syndicate that controlling the local diamond mining industry and also the RUF(reformation army) which uses the diamond to fund their fight against the government. RUF kills the peoples and the uses child soldiers.
Danny Archer(Leonardo DiCaprio), a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy( Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman are joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives.

The 100 karat stone.

Solomon's peaceful life is ripped apart when his village is attacked by rebel forces. He is kidnapped and forced to labor in the diamond mines. His young son is forced to become a "soldier," given drugs and abused so thoroughly that he loses any sense that the world can be sane or fair.

While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone.
With the help of Maddy Bowen, an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deepening connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory, a journey that could save Solomon's family and give Archer the second chance he thought he would never have.

This is surely one of the movie of the year. Aside from showing to the world about child soldier, war crimes, refugees and peacekeeping, this movie also may save you guys up from buying RM1000++ worth of diamond ring for Valentine's Day. Surely a must watch during Valentine's Day!
